Internships and Employment Opportunities

For MCS Alumni

 

 

The MLK Internship is open to MCS Alumni. The intern will be responsible for all event logistics prior to, during and after the walk. The MLK intern reports to and communicates closely with Director of Outreach and Special Projects, aiding and facilitating 8th grade students in creating and sending press releases, writing invitations, sending all faxes and mailings, and creating and fostering community contacts including local Police Precinct. The Intern also prepares a newsletter after the event, including 8thgrade writing, photographs, and an introduction/overview about the project. A one or two semester internship is available at the Manhattan Country School Farm. The Environmental Education Intern works as a member of a team of veteran farm educators teaching students from age 8 to 14 in one of the main curriculum areas of the MCS Farm program. Applicants are preferred to have completed one or more years of undergraduate study, have an interest in teaching children about their environment, and possess a valid driver's license. Are you a strong writer? Do you have a desire to share your strength with current MCS students?
